Since its establishment in 1912, August Töpfer & Co. has developed into a renowned wholesaler and comprehensive provider in the food/non-food sector. Our traditional business is trade in global produce, including sugar, coffee, legumes, dried fruits and feed. Today we are Germany’s largest exporter of white sugar. As a wholesaler in the food/non-food sector, August Töpfer & Co. stands for a combination of tradition – maintained over three generations – and continuous expansion. Besides our original line of business, our range has grown to encompass dried fruits, potato products as well as high-quality nut kernels for use in the retail and food industry.
We rely on our extensive experience, forward-looking strategy and trusting cooperation with producers and contractual partners. We thereby ensure that our customers can always count on top quality, reliable delivery and fair prices. We import our goods through leading European ports. We then check and package almost all products at our location in Hamburg. What’s more, a further production location in Spain, numerous warehouses throughout Europe and our own logistics contribute to our high delivery reliability and low costs.
As a wholesaler, August Töpfer & Co. has also become a leading importer of dried fruits, nut kernels and seeds. Our team is an active member of the federal association of wholesale and international trade in dried fruits and nuts, Waren-Verein der Hamburger Börse e. V., and in the International Nut & Dried Fruit Council (INC). Moreover, we currently provide the Ambassadors for Germany to the International Nut & Dried Fruit Council. As a customer, you benefit from our longstanding partnerships. We select our suppliers carefully, thereby ensuring the consistent high quality of sensitive raw materials as an importer. Our range of nuts includes almonds, hazelnuts and walnuts for wholesale as well as cashews, pecans and Brazil nut kernels, plus an array of different coconut products.
